Books

Other book collections

We also have 2 small non-clinical collections that you may like:

  • Patient Voices – this collection includes stories from patients about how they cope with their health conditions. Read books from this collection to understand more about how your patients feel.
  • Reading Well – this collection includes fiction books as well as self-help books to support your own wellbeing and provide leisure reading.

You can look for books in the library on any topic by searching the catalogue Library Search.

Using the Health Library

You will find a welcoming environment at the Health Library. We support all NHS staff working at UHNM and the library is used by many different types of users including healthcare students and researchers as well as nurses, allied health staff, doctors and NHS managers.

You are very welcome to use the library to borrow books, study or work at the UHNM networked computers. Health Library staff are always available to help – just ask at the library counter.

To join the library complete a membership form and bring it to the counter with your UHNM ID badge. You can pick a membership form up at the Health Library or online.
