 Use our good quality, healthcare specific resources to find the evidence you need to support your studies, research and work, to make confident decisions and deliver evidence-based practice.

We purchase and subscribe to a wide range of resources to help you to get to the best information.

Access

You can borrow from the print book collection via your library membership:
  • Keele University staff and students automatically become members of the Health Library. Your Keele card is your library card.
  • NHS staff can join the Health Library. Complete our membership application form to request your library card.
You need a username / password to log in to our online subscribed resources:
  • Keele University staff and students log in to subscribed resources using your Keele email address and password.
  • NHS staff log in to subscribed resources using your NHS OpenAthens username. See our OpenAthens web page for details of how to register and maintain your NHS OpenAthens username.

 You can find information on a wide range of topics from the Kortext ebook collection, including non-clinical topics as well as nursing and medical textbooks.  The ebook interface is easy to use. You can search for keywords, jump to different chapters or add your own notes. Check Browzine for easy access to full-text articles

 NHS staff can check Browzine for access to full-text articles - making it easy to check your favourite journals and get the latest research articles. Browzine holds information about our healthcare-focused journal collection, including journal issues, table of contents and links to articles. You can link to open access articles, our subscribed content and request items not available in our collection. Browse through the collection without logging in. Have your NHS OpenAthens username handy when you want to access an article in full-text. You can link to your Browzine collection from our Journals page . TRIP database - turning research into practice

 The TRIP database is a user-friendly search engine making it easy for you to find high-level, good quality information and research. Focusing on healthcare evidence this database offers you the opportunity of completing simple searching as well PICO-based searching and allows you to focus results by content type. Some functionality is freely available without the need to login. You can "go pro" by logging in with your NHS OpenAthens username to access extra resources and functionality.
