ClinicalKey Ukrainian Patient Education

  Clinical Key now includes access to Patient Education materials in Ukrainian, supporting Ukrainian refugees by providing access to patient-focused material to understand their personal healthcare needs. Within each Patient Education topic, you will find a link to the 'Ukrainian translation' where available, for you to distribute to your patients. Looking for Patient Information

   You can help your patients understand their condition better and improve their own outcomes by providing, or pointing them to, good quality patient information. Whether you want to create your own bespoke patient information or find something ready-made, take a look at the options below. Main resources to help you to find patient information: BMJ Best Practice    BMJ Best Practice is a clinical decision support tool, offering evidence-based information on a wide range of conditions and diseases. Select the Patient Leaflets option from the top menu bar. You can then either browse the A-Z list or search for the condition. Once presented with the information you can either print it out or download it as a PDF file. BMJ Best Practice  is available to all NHS staff. Log in with your NHS OpenAthens username. Healthwatch: Resource of the week #46

What is it? Healthwatch England is an organisation that has been set up to champion healthcare issues on behalf of the public. It works in partnership with NHS England and supports a range of local networks . There is a local healthwatch for: Staffordshire Stoke on Trent Key Features Healthwatch networks support their local communities and hope to engage local people in their local healthcare services. They carry out Enter and View reports of local facilities; allow the public to provide feedback on their services and are involved in various projects to explore how people use healthcare services and help to improve local services. How can it help you? The local Healthwatch network groups may be a good resource to point your patients towards if they are looking for additional support. How to access it? Local healthwatch networks have their own websites .

ClinicalKey and Patient Education

Clinical Key has sent me an update about the patient education content within Clinical Key. ClinicalKey offers access to leaflets that support hospital staff to deliver patient education in multiple languages, as well as adapted text for different populations (easy-to-read). Patient Education materials in ClinicalKey cover conditions, procedures, drugs and behaviours and include approximately 10,000 individual leaflets. Patient Education handouts can be customised to add a custom comment and contact details for the treating professional. You can share Patient Education information with individual patients, as a printed handout or electronic pdf file and for their personal use. How to access and customise Patient Education handouts 1.
