DynamedPlus is a point-of-care reference tool. It is available to staff at UHNM via Athens login. You can use DynamedPlus to keep up-to-date with the latest evidence affecting a range of medical topics published in DynamedPlus. You can sign-up for email updates: For a specific topic For all DynamedPlus updates For all DynamedPlus updates that affect practice only For updates to a category For updates to a category that are practice changing only Creating an Alert – step-by-step 1. Find the topic you are interested in. If you want to keep up-to-date with the latest updates to this topic then click the “Follow” option. Screen-shot of a topic page 2. Enter your email into the text box, select how often you want to receive updates and click submit. You will receive an email asking you to confirm you want to receive the updates – it’s that easy. DynamedPlus is a point-of-care reference tool. It is available for UHNM staff via their NHS Athens username. DynamedPlus includes a range of medical calculators and decision tools. Calculators may appear in related search results and attached to topic pages. However you can also browse through the available range either via checking the A-Z list or via category. Browse by Specialty As well as searching you can use the “Browse by Specialty” option to browse through the topics. Select the option “Browse by Specialty” from the “Spotlight” section. You can view a short introductory video here: In this blog post we’ll be looking at completing a simple search. The DynamedPlus home page provides you with simple search facilities. DynamedPlus will prompt you with suggestions; you can either select one of the suggestions or continue with your own text. In this example I have started to enter my text “breast cancer”. DynamedPlus Search Box I’m going to look for “breast cancer in post-menopausal women”. Click the “Search” button to run the search. 2. View Results DynamedPlus presents the search results to you, highlighting your search terms. Results List To view a section, click the title. 3.

Go to the Health Library home page and click the Healthcare Resources link from the Quick Links options. Health Library home page 2. On the Healthcare Resources page either page down until you reach the DynamedPlus link or click Health Library Resources to jump to that section of the page. NICE will be retiring their mobile app by the end of this year (2018). There will no longer be any updates to the app after December 2018. If you currently use the app you are advised to delete it and use the online website instead. The website is optimised for use via mobile devices. You can find more information from NICE .
