Looking for resources for midwifery students

Midwifery students need to find the best, most relevant information and evidence to complete their assignments.

Keele University buys a wide range of different types of resources to give you access to good quality information.

Books and eBooks

You can borrow books and access ebooks by searching for your topic on Library Search. Library Search holds information about all the books / ebooks available to Keele students. You can borrow books from either the Campus Library or Health Library.

Running a simple search on Library Search

You can also run quick, simple searches on Library Search for articles and journals, as well as books / ebooks. The results may include a wide range of content as Library Search includes resources across the many disciplines covered by Keele courses.

Completing a detailed search on Core Databases

When you need to complete a detailed search for articles on a topic, use the healthcare-specific databases. These will search across good quality journals and have specific filters to help you to focus your results. They also have tools allowing you to save searches and set alerts for new content.

Healthcare-specific databases include AMED, CINAHL, Medline and PsychInfo. A full list of databases is available on the Midwifery and Nursing Databases page.

Access Resources from home

You will need to log in to access Keele resources if you are studying off-campus. You use your Keele email address and password. See the Campus Library page for instructions on how to log in.
