Log in to the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub – step-by-step instructions

 The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub is a discovery tool that allows you to search across a range of NHS and healthcare-based resources. The types of resources includes journals, databases and ebooks.

The instance of the Hub is set up to match the resources and services available to your NHS organisation. This means that you need to ensure that you get the right version of the Hub so that you can easily access the resources available to you.

How do you get to your version of the Hub?

Well, there are a couple of routes…

Access your NHS Knowledge & Library Hub

1. Go to the NHS Resources page.

2. Choose your page - if you work for UHNM you can use this page, otherwise select the page for the organization you work for.

3. Go to the Knowledge and Library Hub

Option 1 - page down to the section for the Hub. You can select the “discovery tool” link to go straight to the Hub

Option 2 - execute your search via the in-page search box

Option 3 – page down to the A-Z list, select “K” from the A-Z and then select the Knowledge and Library Hub link for your organization

4. Log on to the Hub

To ensure you can easily access full-text resources available to your organization, log in by clicking on the “Sign in” link on the yellow bar on the Hub.

5. Enter your NHS OpenAthens username / password.

You are now logged in to your version of the Hub. You will be able to search a selection of your resources and can link to the library services available to you.

Clinical Key events for March 2026
