Advanced Searching for CINAHL in EBSCOhost

This 60-minute session will introduce advanced search concepts for searching in CINAHL on the EBSCOhost interface. In this session we will look at navigating the interface, the use of CINAHL (Subject) Headings, the application of filters, reviewing available options to save, share, download and export search results, as well as saving, editing and downloading searches and creating and managing alerts.

Supporting Systematic Reviews Part 1 – Searching

The first of two parts, this 60-minute session will introduce the concepts of searching the healthcare literature to support systematic reviews from initial framing of a question, to demonstrate search using PICO(T), searching both keywords and subject terms for CINAHL and MEDLINE on the new EBSCOhost interface. Part 2 will look at how to process results using personal folders and bibliographic software.

Supporting Systematic Reviews Part 2 - Managing Results

This 60-minute session will introduce options for managing search results after searching the literature on CINAHL and MEDLINE, on the EBSCOhost interface, in support of systematic reviews.
This session will look at available options including using the MyEBSCO personal Folder to store and retrieve searches and references exporting to bibliographic software, such as Endnote and RefWorks.

Systematic Literature Searching in MEDLINE on EBSCOhost

This 60-minute session will introduce advanced search concepts for searching MEDLINE on the EBSCOhost interface. In this session we will look at developing a complex search strategy, incorporating wildcards and proximity search operators, running freetext and MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) searches, and applying available filters to focus search results.

How to find a Keele eJournal on Library Search?

Library Search includes an A-Z list of the ejournal collection available at Keele University. Note that NHS-subscribed ejournals are not available via the Library Search interface. There are a number of different ways to look for Keele ejournals on Library Search. This blog post will just give you one simple route. 1. Start at the Library Search home page.
