info card for full-text options as described below

In the new interface of the K&L Hub you may be presented with a range of access options. They are listed below. Note that the options presented will depend on the availability of the article as open access or subscribed, and whether it is available within the ebsco databases or not. You will always get the option to request an item if you need to request an inter-library loan or just in case you have problems reaching the full-text.

  • LibKey Instant PDF - takes you direct to the article in PDF format
  • PDF Full Text - takes you direct to the article in PDF format, available on the ebsco database.
  • View article - an alternate link where the Hub cannot go direct to PDF. This might be an HTML version or a PDF on a website which prevents direct links such as Clinical Key.
  • HTML Full Text - this takes you direct to the article in HTML format.
  • Access Item - this takes you to the full-text on the provider or publisher's website. This displays if a link to a PDF can't be generated.
  • View Complete Issue - this takes you to Browzine to see the table of contents for the issue. You can view the article in the context of the rest of the journal issue it was published in. This is useful if it is a themed issue.
  • Request this item - this launches a form pre-populated with the bibliographic details of the item. You need to fill in your contact details and click 'Submit'. This sends a request to the Library.
  • RETRACTED ARTICLE warning - takes you to an intermediate page with more information and a link to the article.
  • EXPRESSION OF CONCERN warning - takes you to an intermediate page with more information and a link to the article.

Here is an example of the full-text options presented for an article in the results list. The Access Options button is presented under the article details. Click this to reveal the full-text options available. Then select the option you want.
