 Clinical Key is a clinical search engine, providing quick access to a wide range of full-text resources. Use the simple search box to quickly find answers from evidence-based content.

Clinical Key has a range of feature to help you to get to the right information quickly

  1. Content Type - there is a range of content you can search, including ebooks, journals, clinical overviews, guidelines, multimedia and patient education
  2. Smart search engine - the search engine will help you to use the best search terms
  3. Browse the content - you can browse the content either alphabetically to find a particular title, or get a list of resources for your specialty
  4. Activate your account - activate your account to access the advanced features
  5. Advanced features - you will be able to save content, download some book chapters and create presentations

Access Clinical Key

Clinical Key is available to staff working for UHNM. You will need to log on with your NHS OpenAthens username. Find a link on our NHS resources page.

Resource of the week #15: NICE Pathways

What is it? NICE Pathways are interactive flowcharts for topics and conditions Key Features You can use the main search box to look for your topic, or use the A-Z list to find a particular condition. You can also view broader topics and drill-down to individual flowcharts. Flowcharts include points of decision-making as a patient travels along the pathway or route to assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Each decision-box includes information and evidence detailing what should be carried out. How can it help you? The NICE Pathways tool can provide you with guidance and advice on topics and conditions. It can help you to assess your own services and apply NICE guidance and recommendations. How to access it?
