You’ll need to have the right skills and be able to use good quality, health-specialist databases in order to find the right evidence to make good healthcare decisions. Sign-up to our training courses to develop your skills and learn how to use library resources.

  2. Literature Searching Ebsco Databases – learn how to develop a search strategy and apply it to our specialist ebsco databases to find full-text articles
  3. Evidence-based Databases – find out more about higher-level databases such as the Cochrane Library, so that you can locate systematic reviews
  4. Critical Appraisal for Beginners: qualitative research – you’ll need to learn how to critically appraise the articles you find; start by practising on a qualitative research paper
  5. Critical Appraisal for Beginners: randomised controlled trial – practice critical appraisal of an RCT research paper
  6. RefWorks – make sure you know the importance of referencing and how you can use RefWorks to keep track of all the articles you find
