CINAHL Subject Headings Reload - March 8, 2019

We have received the following message from Ebsco, regarding the CINAHL subject headings reload:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a reload of the CINAHL subject headings currently scheduled for Friday, March 8, 2019.

What are CINAHL Subject Headings?
“CINAHL Subject Headings” is a subject authority for all five CINAHL database; CINAHL Subject Headings are based on the Mesh headings, with additional specific nursing and allied health headings added as appropriate. Users can utilize CINAHL Subject Headings when searching CINAHL databases to find articles related to a specific topic.

Which databases will be updated?
All CINAHL Databases will receive the new CINAHL Subject Headings:
  • CINAHL (cin20)
  • CINAHL with Full Text (c8h)
  • CINAHL Plus (john)
  • CINAHL Plus with Full Text (rah)
  • CINAHL Complete (come)

Will this reload change how CINAHL Subject Headings appear in live?
No – though the 2018 reload changed the toolbar link from “CINAHL Headings” to “CINAHL Subject Headings” in EBSCOhost, this reload will not make any changes to the link text.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We don't expect this to impact on your use of the CINAHL database, but please contact Library staff if you encounter any issues.
