Clinical Key: how to log in and activate your account

Make the most of your UHNM Clinical Key account.

Clinical Key is a clinical search engine, giving you access to a wealth of evidence-based resources to support confident clinical decision-making and in-depth reading for research and professional development.

Log in and activate your account

You will need a UHNM NHS OpenAthens account to log in to Clinical Key. This resource is only available to staff working at UHNM.

To access Clinical Key:

Go to the Health Library NHS Resources page. Find Clinical Key on the A-Z list and click the link. This will take you straight to the NHS OpenAthens log in page.

OR

Search for Clinical Key on Google. From the home page, click the Log in option (top right). Make sure you click the OpenAthens log in option. Then enter your NHS OpenAthens username / password when prompted.

Activate your account

Make sure you activate your account so that you can benefit from the advanced features such as saving articles and chapters and creating presentations. The minimum details you need to enter are your name and email address.
