You can keep up-to-date with the news and research published via some of our elderly care ejournals. This page has now been updated to reflect our recent subscriptions.

eJournals include:

  • Alzheimer's & Dementia: The Journal of the Alzheimer's Association
  • Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics
  • Age and Ageing
  • Clinics in Geriatric Medicine
  • European Geriatric Medicine
  • Journal of the American Geriatrics Society

All these titles are available in full-text to UHNM members of staff via NHS Athens; other users should check your Journals A-Z list  to see whether you have full-text access to all these titles

 You can browse or search the journal BMJ Case Reports for unusual clinical cases. This journal includes rare conditions and unexpected complications. Cases are peer-reviewed and offer excellent case-based learning to support your professional development. You can also submit your own case reports for free! This gives you an opportunity to share your knowledge and become a published author. Access to this journal is available to UHNM staff, via their NHS OpenAthens username.  You can find information on a wide range of topics from the Kortext ebook collection, including non-clinical topics as well as nursing and medical textbooks.  The ebook interface is easy to use. You can search for keywords, jump to different chapters or add your own notes.
