Here at the Health Library for North Staffordshire we offer you a number of online learning opportunities: eTutorials Online Guides & Support Health Library YouTube channel Information Skills for Health blog You can use these services to learn more about the Health Library’s resources and develop your information skills. Online learning is sometimes also referred to as elearning, technology-enhanced learning, technology-enabled learning or learning online. We would like to know more about what online learning opportunities you need from the Health Library and how we can best deliver them. There have been various problems recently around logging in to BMJ Best Practice; s o far this seems to be working OK: Go to the NHS resources page on the Health Library website here  https://www.keele.ac.uk/ healthlibrary/find/ healthinformationresources/ Page down to the link for BMJ Best Practice and click it If you are prompted for an Institution enter "NHS in England". This should find an entry which you can then click. You should then be prompted for your NHS OpenAthens username / password - enter this If you have not logged on before you will be prompted to create a BMJ individual account - you must do this (this is used to allow you to save content and use the app) Then you should be in and you can start searching Instructions for setting up the app are here   https://infoskillsforhealth. blogspot.com/2019/10/bmj-best- practice-app-support-for.html   (but you need to do the previous steps before you can get to the app) If you still have problems ...

Some are freely available, others will required your NHS OpenAthens login details. You will often need an Internet connection to access the content. BMJ Best Practice is an online evidence-based support tool, available to all NHS users via OpenAthens login. Install the app to get access to recommendations and guidelines on the go. Installation Instructions: 1. Go to the desktop version of BMJ Best Practice and log in with your OpenAthens username. 2. Create your personal BMJ account 3. Go to your app store and search for BMJ Best Practice 4. Download the app from BMJ 5. Install the app and open it 6. Log in with your personal BMJ account 7. Start searching! Using BMJ Best Practice: BMJ Best Practice provide you with topic pages for a wide range of conditions and diseases. Select the topic from your search results. You are presented with a number of sections; select the one you want to read. Information is presented in an easy-to-read format. You also have access to clinical calculators as well as images and videos. Celebrating Libraries in a Digital World
