Clinical trials to be added to Ovid Embase

 From NHSe: Clinical Trials from clinicaltrials.gov, will soon be added to Ovid Embase. Elsevier is planning on delivering clinical trials content starting the week of 5 May 2025, and Ovid will load the records as they arrive in batches of 20,000 records a day or 100,000 per week. Elsevier expects to deliver the last set of back files in the week of 16 June 2025. There will be a new “Clinical Trials” Publication Type limit for these records added to Ovid Embase.

2025 Royal Marsden Manual training schedule

 Wiley will be delivering Royal Marsden Manual training in 2025. Dates available include: 16 April 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Basic Level 12 May 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Advanced Level 17 June 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Basic Level 23 July 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Advanced Level 14 August 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Basic Level 8 September 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Advanced Level 28 October 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Basic Level 12 November 2025, 11:30am to 12pm, Advanced Level 4 December 2025   11:30am to 12pm, Basic Level Basic sessions will cover searching the platform. Advanced sessions will cover personalisation and customisation with local Trust guidelines. Training will be delivered by Wiley trainers. The 30-minute drop-in sessions are aimed at Library staff and NHS nursing staff; whoever needs training. Dates are listed on Wiley's  Go ToWebinar  platform. Select a date and register.

Kortext eBooks - easy access to key ebooks

 You can find information on a wide range of topics from the Kortext ebook collection, including non-clinical topics as well as nursing and medical textbooks.  The ebook interface is easy to use. You can search for keywords, jump to different chapters or add your own notes. Special collections include ebooks for: Karger fast-facts Diversity and inclusion Primary care Psychological professions Wellbeing This collection is available to NHS staff via their NHS OpenAthens username. TRIP database - turning research into practice

 The TRIP database is a user-friendly search engine making it easy for you to find high-level, good quality information and research. Focusing on healthcare evidence this database offers you the opportunity of completing simple searching as well PICO-based searching and allows you to focus results by content type. Some functionality is freely available without the need to login. You can "go pro" by logging in with your NHS OpenAthens username to access extra resources and functionality. Check Browzine for easy access to full-text articles

 NHS staff can check Browzine for access to full-text articles - making it easy to check your favourite journals and get the latest research articles. Browzine holds information about our healthcare-focused journal collection, including journal issues, table of contents and links to articles. You can link to open access articles, our subscribed content and request items not available in our collection. Browse through the collection without logging in. Have your NHS OpenAthens username handy when you want to access an article in full-text. You can link to your Browzine collection from our Journals page .  You can browse or search the journal BMJ Case Reports for unusual clinical cases. This journal includes rare conditions and unexpected complications. Cases are peer-reviewed and offer excellent case-based learning to support your professional development. You can also submit your own case reports for free! This gives you an opportunity to share your knowledge and become a published author. Access to this journal is available to UHNM staff, via their NHS OpenAthens username.
